Financial
office assistants are employed as entry-level bookkeepers, free-lance
bookkeepers, business owners, accounting clerks and data entry
clerks. BC Work Futures is predicting approximately 5090 bookkeeping
openings, 8180 accounting clerk openings, and 5150 data entry
openings by 2008, due to retirements in these large occupational
groups.
During
this program, instructors will guide students through modules
covering everything from Bookkeeping to Office Procedures to
Computer Skills. Upon completion of this program, students will
be proficient in payroll accounting, recording business transactions
and printing queried reports by using Simply Accounting and
QuickBooks, creating and managing simple databases through Access,
and preparing a manual set of books from source documents. Near
the end of the program, students will gain valuable job search
skills and complete a practicum, further enhancing their employability.
Here's
what some of our students had to say about this program:
To
Whom it May Concern:
Hello,
my name is Janice Bernhard and I am the parent of Tiffany Bernhard
who took the Financial Assistant Program with Excel Career College
in 2007.
I feel
that this was one of the most Positive
and Supportive gifts we have given
our daughter....She loved going to school. She thought the office
staff, Michelle (Manageress) and Pauline (Owner) made the environment
an extremely friendly and truly caring atmosphere. Tiffany's
teachers she thoroughly enjoyed and felt that they were there
for her at any time she was in need. They taught her classes
with Great Knowledge and a Great
Attitude....
It would
be an honor to encourage others to attend this wonderful Educational
Institute.
I
BELIEVE IN YOUR SUCCESS!
Sincerely,
Janice
Bernhard
