Entry Requirements:


A 70% final grade in Gold, or an equivalent demonstrated proficiency.

Module Outlines:

With a focus on ethics, this module challenges students to organize and express higher level opinions at a formal intellectual level. Special emphasis will be placed on academic and business-usage vocabulary supporting the ability to speak and write at length on a variety of important topics.

Week 1: Discrimination
Week 2: News and the Media
Week 3: Death and Dying
Week 4: Homelessness and Social Conscience

Goals:

  • To be able to listen and respond immediately to advanced level English speeches and conversations.
  • To be able to speak publicly in a formal, academically advanced environment.
  • To read and write critical essays, with an emphasis on persuasion and argumentation.

Salmon Fishing
Snowshoeing
Kayaking

Activities are scheduled on a seasonal basis.
